Cold email vs LinkedIn outreach in numbers
Cold email scales by volume and LinkedIn by connected account. Woodpecker's Email plan covers 5,000 emails sent a month for $39 billed monthly, as read on November 1, 2026, with follow-ups counted, while each LinkedIn account costs $29 a month and allows up to 30 connection requests a day, 250 direct messages a day and 50 InMail messages a month, as Woodpecker's LinkedIn card lists them.
| Channel and plan | Monthly price | Volume allowed |
|---|---|---|
| Email, Woodpecker Email 5,000 | $39 billed monthly, $26 billed annually | 5,000 emails sent a month, follow-ups included |
| LinkedIn, one Woodpecker account | $29 a month on both bases | Up to 30 connection requests and 250 messages a day |
| Email and LinkedIn, Woodpecker Multichannel | $68 billed monthly, $55 billed annually | 5,000 emails and one LinkedIn account |
| lemlist Multichannel | $87 per user a month, yearly toggle ($109 struck through) | 5 senders per user; LinkedIn and SMS automation |
| Reply.io LinkedIn add-on | $69 a month per LinkedIn account | Calls and SMS add-on: $29 per account |
Those LinkedIn caps are the Sales Navigator level for each connected account, and Woodpecker's pricing page says actual limits may be lower. InMail needs a paid LinkedIn account.

Woodpecker's Multichannel plan puts email and LinkedIn steps in one campaign for the email tier plus $29 a month for each connected LinkedIn account, and the LinkedIn line has no annual discount; lemlist vs Woodpecker compares it with lemlist's per-user Multichannel plan.
With 5,000 emails and one account, Multichannel is $68 a month billed monthly or $55 a month billed annually. To stop paying for a LinkedIn slot, empty the slot first and then reduce the number of slots to 0; otherwise Woodpecker keeps billing it. Woodpecker.co pricing lists every email tier.
Monthly reach from one seller
Email reach follows the tier. At about 5 emails for each prospect, 5,000 emails sent reach about 1,000 prospects (our arithmetic), and each mailbox provider sets its own daily limit; Google documents 2,000 messages a day for one Workspace user account.
LinkedIn reach follows the account type, as Woodpecker's help center lists it:
- Sales Navigator accounts: 30 connection requests without a message, 250 direct messages and 500 profile visits a day.
- Classic and Premium accounts: connection requests without a message up to 25 a day, direct messages up to 50 a day.
- Free and Premium accounts: connection requests with a message default to 5 a month.
At the card's ceiling of 30 connection requests a day, 20 working days make 600 requests a month (our arithmetic). Woodpecker's help article advises against more than 100 invitations a week, and 30 a day is 150 over five weekdays, so the advice is the tighter figure.
Rules on each channel
Woodpecker automates LinkedIn actions; LinkedIn's help page says it does not permit third-party tools that automate activity and that members who use them risk restricted accounts. Woodpecker's own help article adds that a newly created LinkedIn account might be suspended if LinkedIn detects unusually high automated activity.
On email, the FTC's CAN-SPAM Rule (16 CFR Part 316) bars charging a recipient any fee to opt out. How to start a cold email agency walks through the order, and counsel can say how the Rule applies.
When to run both in one sequence
In a Woodpecker campaign, if a connection request is not accepted, the next step can be an email. A campaign holds up to 16 steps, and calls and SMS sit in it as manual tasks. Woodpecker runs LinkedIn actions only between 8 AM and 6 PM in the campaign's time zone.
A seller who needs only a few connection requests a week can send them by hand from LinkedIn. Pick lemlist or Reply.io when SMS or calls should be automated alongside email and LinkedIn. Email steps can be tried free for 14 days or 500 cold emails, whichever comes first; the Woodpecker cold email review covers the other limits.
